Big changes for KAFF in 2019...

There are going to be a couple of big changes in 2019, the first is the addition of the extra ‘F’ as we plan to put on the first official Kidderminster Arts & Food Festival in 2019. The other big change is the festival is moving to October.

There will still be lots to do in the summer holidays, but by moving the date we can engage with local schools and colleges so that KAFF not only continues to be a platform for exciting and innovative professional performances, but also a place to showcase the amazing ‘up and coming’ local talent. Something Kidderminster has in abundance!

We will be revealing the theme for KAFF 2019 soon, so keep posted for details. KAFF is on social media, so please follow us to find out the latest details.

We would love to hear your ideas please get in touch with any suggestions arts@wyreforestdc.gov.uk

Our 2018 theme was ‘Strength and Resilience’ with entertainment focussing on three significant nationwide celebrations happening during the year.

  • The centenary of the end of the First World War
  • 100 years of women’s right to vote
  • Circus250 – a UK-wide celebration of 250 years of circus!

ABOUT US

Kidderminster Arts Festival (KAF) offers a diverse cultural experience to all ages and interests, and includes a programme of performance workshops, shows, street art and exhibitions.

KAF has come a long way since it began life in 2003 with a small grant from the Arts Council and an audience of just 2000 people.  Since then it has become the flagship project of Wyre Forest District Council Arts and Play Development Team's portfolio. We now work with a huge range of partners, commission new work and reach over 100,000 people each year!

The annual event is held in the last two weeks of August in and around Kidderminster town centre in local venues and out and about on the streets.

Want to get involved as a performer or volunteer?  Contact arts@wyreforestdc.gov.uk for further information.

To bring you KAF, we rely almost entirely on external funding.  Find out more about how your business can be part of the action and benefit through our sponsorship packages.

If you would like to support our event, you can also make a donation.

We would like to thank our sponsors, supporters and funders; we couldn’t do it without you…
